This is my passion-project, born from a real-world problem: loosing your friends on festivals. It happened so many times that my buddies split up or just genuenly got lost, with absolutely no way to reliably meet up. I am a tinkerer, so this problem stirred up some thoughts, then on Psy-Fi 2019 the idea for the Buddycompass was born.

But how to built this thing? At the time i had no knowledge with electronics and no idea where to even start. But i had a burning passion and thats all you need (aside from internet access haha). Many hours googeling and countless sleepless nights later i had the first prototype ready (read more about the prototype here). Then identify things that didn’t work, make improvements, built a new prototype, test with friends, rinse and repeat.
